A radio survey is a set of test procedures that must be carried out by a qualified radio inspector in order to verify and confirm that the communication, navigational and safety equipment on board the vessel is fully operational. All radio surveys must be conducted in accordance with SOLAS convention.
The Voyage Data Recorder system, including all its sensors, must be subjected to an Annual Performance Test (APT).
